LEGEND OF DUBAI may have a decent chance of getting the opening win of the entire Festival.

He claimed a victory on his reappearance in April at Newmarket on a 1m handicap trip. Following that he was sent to the Royal Hunt Cup.

That was a big competitive challenge for Legend Of Dubai and he had been a favourite for it. So he should be in range here.

MOKTASAAB is well worth looking at in racing tips to at least make a run at the places in this one.

He has been steaming along for his new yard this season. He opened with back-to-back wins, and one of those was at course and distance.

Moktasaab struggled on a longer trip at Royal Ascot, but he could be a player in this one.

BELL ROCK warrants some respect and he is helped out by a good 5lb claimer on his back.

A couple of years ago Bell Rock was a place finisher in this very race. Some below-par recent performances have seen him slide in the weights.

That gives him a chance here and it represents an opportunity for him to get back on track.

JUST FINE has some claims as well who did a solid job in the John Smith’s Cup at York a couple of weeks ago.

He may be better at longer trips than this, but if he is on his game under Ryan Moore, then place claims are there.

Tip: MOKTASAAB 12/1

Ones to watch: Legend Of Dubai 7/1, Bell Rock 10/1

HOLLOWAY BOY was impressive on his debut as he outran some massive odds to score at Royal Ascot.

He took the Chesham from a 40/1SP and that was by a length.

Hollway Boy should be back in the frame with any kind of repeat effort.

MYSTERIOUS NIGHT moves up to this distance for the first time and warrants some respect.

It’s been one victory in three appearances for him so far. The pick of his form was a third-place finish in the July Stakes at Newmarket.

DEAR MY FRIEND warrants respect after a fine start, winning both appearances so far.

He dominated proceedings last time out at Beverley and there’s probably even more in him, so Dear My Friend gets on the shortlist.

Tip: MYSTERIOUS NIGHT 4/1

Ones to watch: Holloway Boy 15/8, Dear My Friend 13/2

POGO is a player in this one as he comes back into action seeking the completion of a hattrick.

He is a good bold frontrunner which worked for him in a Haydock Group 3 and then in the Criterion Stakes.

Pogo had been penalised at Newmarket. There is no reason why he can’t continue in much the same manner with a good draw.

LUSAIL was brilliant in the St James’s Palace, taking the runner-up spot by a head. That was against Coroebus, so Lusail’s effort was full of credit.

Lusail is another that will take the race by the scruff of the neck and was the third last time out in the Prix Jean Prat over in France a couple of weeks ago.

SACRED did a solid job in the Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on her return to action.

There was a fifth-place finish for her there, as the timing of her challenge came just a little too late to make an impact.

As a 3-year-old she took some big wins at this distance and so Sacred should thrive on Tuesday.

Tip: POGO 5/1

Ones to watch: Lusail 9/2, Sacred 15/8

KYPRIOS is the favourite for this stayers’ contest, one of the biggest that there is in British racing.

He has just come on leaps and bounds this season, winning all three efforts. Of those, it was his latest that really impressed.

Kyprios stormed his way to victory in the Ascot Gold Cup and if he is back in the same kind of mood he should get close.

STRADIVARIUS was luckless on his run in the Ascot Gold Cup and had to settle for a third-place finish in that one.

He is looking for his fifth title in this race and to shrug off that terrible day at the Royal Festival.

Stradivarius took the Yorkship Cup in May and regular jockey Frankie Dettori is out and replaced by Andrea Atzeni.

TRUESHAN is the other obvious big player in this one after landing the Northumberland Plate last month.

It was a stunning victory, full of guts and glory. That handicap score was the fifth win on the spin for Trueshan who won this race last year.

He has to be right in the mix.

Tip: TRUESHAN 5/2

Ones to watch: Kyprios 13/8, Stradivarius 11/4

EQUALITY is down 2lb from his latest effort which was at Ascot. Excuses were there for him and he’s capable of getting back on track.

Equality scored a nice reappearance victory at Windsor and followed that up with two good place finishes.

He’s a decent sprinter and should be in the thick of it.

NIGHT ON EARTH rediscovered a touch of form when taking the fifth place finish in a Newmarket handicap.

Positioning could have been a little better in it, but having been eased 2lb for the effort should see him be competitive.

The race had been won by the re-opposing Celsius, but Night On Earth is 7lb better off against him on Tuesday.

INDIAN CREAK will be tested by the drop back to the minimum distance but isn’t to be ruled out.

He did rattle the crossbar here on a 6f trip in June. There was a victory for him at Windsor on his penultimate run, so seems to be in decent form.

CELSIUS is back on his game this season it would seem, having won both efforts so far. The most recent of those was at Newmarket.

He had a few of these behind him on the day as well. Celsius is a former course and distance winner to boot.

Tip: NIGHT ON EARTH 10/1

Ones to watch: Celsius 5/1, Equality 13/2

MISCHIEF MAGIC was third at the course and distance on his debut.

It was a good competitive race, which puts him on the radar back in this one.

SUPREME KING was a runner-up on his debut 11 days ago, a fixture into which he was well supported for.

He found only a handy prospect too good for him on the day.

CELTIC CHAMPION should make his presence felt as well after a third place finish at Windsor on his debut.

He was sandwiched by two that have both since gone on to win, so claims are there.

Tip: CELTIC CHAMPION 9/2

Ones to watch: Mischief Magic 5/2, Supreme King 11/1

CRYSTAL CAPRICE was a winner last time, getting off the mark at the third time of asking in a maiden at Yarmouth.

She comes from a top yard and looked impressive in that win.

This will be the handicap debut for the well-bred filly and is easily on the shortlist.

BREAKING LIGHT warrants some respect and could pose a threat from a favourable draw as well.

The move back to this preferred 1m trip is a huge positive and after landing a win at Haydock last time out, she’s unlikely to be too troubled by 5lb extra.

SYSTEM showed something on being moved up to the 1m trip at Ascot a couple of weeks ago.

That appeared to be a good move for her. While this season hasn’t quite gone to plan, System was a Listed winner as a juvenile. This could suit her.

Tip: CRYSTAL CAPRICE 11/4

Ones to watch: Breaking Light 7/2, System 9/1

CRAZY LUCK is thriving at the moment and will be seeking a hat-trick on Tuesday.

Everything panned out for her when she took a narrow score at Chester a couple of weeks ago.

This is easier as connections engage a 5lb claimer so Crazy Luck is in the picture.

KIMNGRACE took a course and distance victory last month on her penultimate run.

That’s the form that puts her on the radar for this. On her follow up Kimngrace took a runner-up post at Haydock and can challenge from 5lb up.

MAKAROVA was back on track as she was just touched off by Crazy Lucky in a warm Newbury contest last time out.

Earlier this season Makarova won her first two efforts on the turf at the 6f trip.

She will likely be right back in the thick of it and rates as a danger.

Tip: MAKAROVA 8/1

Ones to watch: Kimngrace 4/1, Crazy Luck 11/2
