Today’s horse racing largely focuses on some of the big pattern company fixtures that are lined up from Sandown.
There’s an evening of big action from the venue including a couple of Group 3 Stakes.
The big one of the day is from Sandown, the Henry II Stakes.
We also pay a visit to Haydock for a couple of selections in today’s best racing tips.

LETHAL NYMPH should have the run of this fixture as it has been two impressive wins from two runs.
Those were in novice runs at Wolverhampton and Doncaster.
Lethal Nymph makes the move into handicapping for the first time and should be the one to beat.
MELAYU KINGDOM looked in decent enough form when taking a fifth-place finish at York’s Ebor meeting a couple of weeks ago.
He hasn’t quite rediscovered the form that took him to a Ripon listed win last spring. Still, the move to 6f should help.
LETHAL LEVI has decent form from a fourth place finish in a sprint handicap at Hamilton on his latest.
That credible effort followed a score at Yarmouth in an April handicap on his penultimate effort. That took his tally to three wins.

SOUND REASON was fourth at Hamilton earlier this month and that was on his reappearance. He looked like he needed the run.
There were positive pieces of form from Sound Reason the last term, taking his third career win when scoring at Carlisle in August. Sound Reason should be much sharper for having that recent spin after 8 months away.
MODULAR MAGIC looks a threat in this one as he went close after a break of seven months when preparing at Thirsk last month.
He dropped in class for Thursday’s run so he should be right in this one. Modular Magic is a good front runner and has big claims if the field gives him a soft lead.
BALLINTOY HARBOUR is another on the shortlist for this one as it made an encouraging reappearance a couple of weeks ago at Thirsk.
Ballintoy Harbour has come back to her last winning mark and carries a 3lb claimer to help out as well. She’s one to bear in mind.
CELSIUS is a three-time course and distance winner and he arrives after a score on his reappearance.
That was at Ascot last month and he looked in good heart landing that.
Celsius comes up 5lb for that win and has claims, although given his track record, a follow up is never certain.

DUNINGTON LAD gets on the shortlist as well as he looks for a bit of a revival after a fifth at Chester.
He was ridden aggressively in that and spent himself out early in that contest. He won at Windsor in April on his reappearance, and that puts him in this.
CRISPY CAT picked up a win on his debut, which was at Cork. He followed us very well as well.
That latest run saw Crispy Cat take a runner up finish at the Curragh three weeks ago in a Listed fixture. The winner of that race has gone on to win at Group 3.
DEMOCRACY DILEMMA looks to be finding his feet nicely showing ready improvement on his three rings.
He got off the mark at Chester three weeks ago with a commanding finish. Democracy Dilemma warrants respect in this.

THUNDEROUS was a runner to Stradivarius in the Yorkshire Cup a couple of weeks ago.
That’s back to back runner-up finishes that he has come up with recently. He has continued to look strong this season.
Thunderous should stay the 2m and he did get the better of some of these with his second-place finish at Chester’s Ormonde on his penultimate run.
QUICKTHORN has also come home second on his last two efforts and is looking for his first since scoring the Duke of Edinburgh last year.
Quickthorn has looked competitive since returning to form and only just came up short in the Sagaro Stakes, with Enemy behind him. He should be back in the thick of the action.
ENEMY was a little lucky at Ascot in the Sagaro Stakes four weeks ago as he was crowned out late in the fixture.
But he was going very well and was looking to build on a top score that he had taken at Musselburgh on his penultimate run.
He probably isn’t going to be far away and is unexposed on this trip.

MOSTAHDAF has a little boost in that he is match fit after making a winning reappearance.
That was at course and distance in the Gordon Richard Stakes a month ago. That completed a hattrick.
It’s been impressive all the way from Mostahdaf whose only defeat came in the St James’s Palace Stakes.
ADDEYBB is another good one to watch in this contest and has course and distance form as well.
He took the Eclipse here at Sandown for the trip last year. Addeybb is a classy one and has a decent track record from fresh.
BAY BRIDGE is looking for a five-timer when he steps into action on Thursday and still looks highly progressive.
This will be the reappearance run for Bay Bridge, since scoring at Newmarket six months ago.
It’s four from four under rules by him and he could make his presence felt.

INIGO JONES picked up a win at the start of the previous campaign, so has gone well early in new campaigns before.
This season’s reappearance didn’t go to plan though with a disappointing effort at Chelmsford. He was eased back with things not going his way.
So while there is a revival needed, Indigo Jones probably isn’t out of the picture in this fairly thin field.
FARASI LANE collected a couple of wins at Sandown last summer and the second of those was at course and distance.
A recent solid effort at Windsor, coupled with a return to a winning track could give him a shot. The visor is on for the first time too.
REBEL TERRITORY is the final shortlisted one in this handicap as he is interesting on his reappearance
Rebel Territory won two of three appearances last year. He’s been away for months and will need a step forward, but he’s likely no forlorn hope.
