Today’s horse racing tips look at a busy day around the UK with some very good meetings happening.

The pick of the action is at Newmarket as the action continues there this week.

Wednesday’s horse racing tip highlights are from the Craven Stakes and the Abernant Stakes from the venue.

Along with horse racing selections from Kempton, we have picks from Cheltenham and Beverly.

So here are the best of today’s horse racing tips for Wednesday, 13th April 2022.

All times listed are GMT.

DOUBLE OR BUBBLE could come on strong in this cracking renewal of the Abernant Stakes.

It’s an exciting sprint and Double Or Bubble acquitted herself well in Group 3 efforts last season.

She also won her season opener here at Newmarket.

The ground may not have been in her favour at the end of the campaign, here at the venue. But the previous season’s form puts her in the thick of it.

GARRUS is potentially going to be sharper for having had a reappearance run under his belt this season.

That’s something that his main rivals have not had.

Garrus was fourth at Doncaster in a Listed effort three weeks ago.

He’s a good sprinter, winning at Group 3 last season.

Top jockey Ryan Moore is booked and the pairing have won both times they have been together previously.

EBRO RIVER is the favourite and with good reason as he is the only Group 1 winner in this field.

He escapes a penalty for that win at the Curragh in August and should be a big player on Wednesday.

A disappointing effort at 7f on his final start of last season can be overlooked.

The stamina wasn’t there. Coming back to the 6f sprint, Ebro River is a big contender.

Tip: EBRO RIVER 9/4

Ones to watch: Garrus 5/1, Double Or Bubble 6/1

NATIVE RIVER is an obvious pick for the shortlist in the Craven Stakes renewal on Wednesday.

He won all four efforts in the juvenile division last season and should be even stronger as a 3-year-old now.

Native River cruised to a win in the Dewhurst Stakes here at Newmarket on his final run of the previous campaign.

That was before his six-month break and he will likely be a big 2000 Guineas player this year as well.

STAR OF INDIA produced a fine debut to get off the mark at the first time of asking at Leopardstown last autumn.

His presence is fascinating in this one from a top yard.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get in the thick of this action.

HOO YA MAL produced some strong form last term as well and nearly landed himself a Listed win at Doncaster.

He was edged by a nose in that final run of his season.

There has to be even more to come from him so, Hoo Ya Mal rates as a danger.

Tip: Native Trail 4/11

Ones to watch: Star Of India 9/1, Hoo Ya Mal 11/1

UNDER SUPERVISION is likely going to be a big threat in this contest considering his latest run.

He was commanding in including the Grimthorpe Chase at Doncaster in March.

He was ridden patiently there to great effect.

There is now a 4lb rise for Under provision to deal with on Wednesday.

But a replication of that form should get him close to defying it.

MISTER MALARKY was behind Undersuprivisno in that Grimthorpe challenge at Doncaster.

It was a good run to take second place in that big chase effort.

That was a big return to form by Mister Malarky too.

A poor start to the season had been left behind in that one, having dropped a long way in the weights from his season opener.

STORM CONTROL could be one to watch for the shorts to get a bounce-back effort.

He failed to complete his latest effort, a race won by Undersupervision.

But Storm Control is likely to be in the picture with Cheltenham suiting his game.

CHAMBARD completed a hat trick last time out when scoring the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival on his latest.

That was a course and distance effort.

This is something else however given the mark he comes in at, but no doubt Chambard is thriving right now.

Tip: UNDERSUPERVISION 2/1

Ones to watch: Storm Control 10/1, Mister Malarkey 9/2

LAST ROYAL claimed a win on his latest run which was a novice effort at Wincanton three weeks ago.

He now moves to the handicap and looks to be on a lenient enough market to get a challenge together.

WBEE is in some hot form at the moment having completed a four-timer on his latest run.

That was a success at Stratford in August. The price for that has been a further 8lb added.

But Wbee is wonderfully progressive and as long as he’s tuned up after a long break, he could get in the thick of it, coming up in class.

WHOLESTONE isn’t to be counted out of this really competitive fixture, despite a poor effort last time out.

He was really not at his best in the Midlands Grand National on his latest.

But before that, he had scored a 3m Grade 2 hurdle win.

So reverting to the smaller stuff on Wednesday is the right move for Wholestone. The 11-year-old still has plenty of ability.

Tip: WBEE 6/1

Ones to watch: Wholestone 14/1, Last Royal 3/1

SHOW YOURSELF is a big course and distance player having won four of five such previous efforts.

All of her career wins actually have been at C&D.

With that record and what looked to be a much-needed reappearance a month ago Kempton puts her in the frame.

SOUND REASON has a handy draw at Beverley on Wednesday has a previous course and distance winning form.

He rounded off the previous campaign with a narrow C&D defeat at the hands of Show Yourself.

Sound Reason is on the same terms with that rival on Wednesday and should give another good account of himself.

MID WINSTER deserves some respect in this one as well as the mare put together a good previous campaign.

After winning at Doncaster in July, she stayed in the form right through the season.

Mid Winster went well in last season’s reappearance.

Place claims have to be there for Mid Winster who was a runner up in Ayr’s Silver Cup last year.

Tip: SHOW YOURSELF 6/1

Ones to watch: Mid Winster 10/1, Sound Reason 7/2

TRANQUIL NIGHT has to be respected on form, having won both of his efforts this season.

Those were novice events on the all-weather. He’s been away for a couple of months but arrives for a top yard with William Buick booked.

IKHTIRAAQ showed plenty of promise in his juvenile campaign, finishing as the runner-up on his first two starts.

But then the colt found an improvement to get off the market at Leicester In October and showed a good attitude to dig out the win.

The handicapping scene fit him well on his first run for a new yard under Sir Michael Stoute.

TYLOS is expected to be another that goes well and is another with a good previous capping under his belt.

He got off the mark at the third time of asking when winning a novice contest at Wolverhampton in August.

Tylos likely has the stamina to deal with the move to 1m and has a chance of making a name for himself in handicapping.

Tip: IKHTIRAAQ 7/1

Ones to watch: Tylos 5/1, Tranquil Night 4/1
